Crackling Wheel

I had my brakes resurfaced last Friday. Brakes are not part of warranty so we had it done by an independent shop. Actually it was done in one of the service centers of a very famous car dealership. The job was done that same day too.

When my husband was driving the van home, he noticed some noise when he gets to a bumpy road. He told me that I better test drive it since I am the one who uses the van everyday to check if that noise is something unusual. So the next day, I drove it and i heard the noise. We were suspecting something related to the shock absorber. I told my husband I will call the dealership Monday when i get to work.

So today Monday, on my way to work with the van, as I was within the vicinity of my job, I heard the noise getting louder and louder. I stepped on the brakes and I felt the scariest thing ..... I am losing my brakes!!!! I have to pump several times to put the car to stop. I heard a bolt came off while i was driving hitting the under body. By this time, I could see my job's parking lot (thank God!). So slowly I drove the car but it was already making too much noise. Good thing I made it to the parking lot.

To make the long story short, my car is not drivable at all. I had to call tripple AAA to bring the car back to the shop. Before that, I asked my co-worker who knows about cars and he went underneath my car. He checked the wheel and found that the bolts to the caliper were loose causing it to come off. And he told me the scariest thing .... I could have lost my brakes totally!!!! OMG!!!What if...what if?????

Right now the van is fixed. I told hubby if we can switch cars for the rest of the week. I have to overcome the fear by not driving the van for a few days.

it's a good thing nothing bad happened to you while you were driving the car and you were able to safely park it.

Thanks be to God that you were able to bring the vehicle to a stop.

Everyone must have experienced some miracles in this life. Either we are conscious or not about it. I'm glad you're saved from terrible accident. I hope it would be a reminder for the rest of your life, that God is real. Therefore, as He is supernatural, each of us will experience some of His existence.
Btw, greetings from a small town called Karawang, West Java, Indonesia.
Have a nice day, my friend ...
