2010 New York Auto Show

The New York Auto Show, the largest auto show in the country will be held on April 2-11, 2010 at the Jacob Javits Center between 34th-39th streets and 11th Avenue in New York City. The public show dates is from Friday April 2nd up to Sunday April 11th. The show opens at 11am to 10:30 pm and on Sundays from 10am to 7pm. Official opening day is on the 3rd of April and festivities will start at 9am. Ticket prices are $14 for adults (age 13 up), $4 for kids (2-12) and infants 1 and under are free. A group rate of $12 is given for 10 tickets or more.

18,000 Mile Service

We were at the Jack Daniel's service center yesterday for the 18,000 mile service of our Routan. Since the VW service is closed on Saturdays, we have to go via the Audi service center which is right next door-both by JD. This is a free maintenance offered by VW up to 36,000 miles.
I brought to their attention that the AC was not blowing cold last weekend when the weather warmed up to almost 70 degrees. They found the Ac discharge line is leaking but has to be ordered. The shaking of the steering wheel when braking needs my brakes to be resurfaced.
So we have to bring the vehicle back as soon as they have the parts ordered. So far the Routan is running fine with no problems.

After The Storm

When its not a snowstorm, its gusty winds, rain and flooding. From Friday night to Saturday, we experienced non stop of rain with high winds of up to 70 mph. Thousands residents of the tri-state (ny, nj and ct) lost power, had flooding, uprooted trees (some fell on houses and cars) and storm related accidents. We are lucky our area is not badly affected by the storm.

I took some pictures today while we got stuck in traffic because of flood.

Pacquiao Vs. Clottey Live

Manny Pacquiao is No. 1 on yahoo's search right now. Manny will be defending the WBO welterweight title tonight against Joshua Clottey at the Dallas Cowboys $1.2 billion stadium owned by Jerry Jones in Arlington, Texas. Pacman is defending his WBO title that he won from Miguel Cotto last November. Joshua Clottey, a former welterweight titlist is a native of Ghana. He lost to Miguel Cotto by decision last June at the Madison Square Garden.

The fight will be aired live on HBO ppv starting 6pm tonight.

If Only We Still Have The Truck

A Beautiful Day To Be On The Road

We had a beautiful sunny and warm weekend for the first time after being frozen in a cold weather for months. Of course, we hit the road for a day trip to enjoy the sunshine. It was a delight to see no more of the white stuff(snow) on the road, all melted and gone. Although the trees are still without leaves it would only take a few days before the leaves start to grow back now that warm weather is here.

That Needed Carwash

Finally we are seeing signs of spring time. We are having a sunny 50 degree weather today and a lot are having their car washed to rinse off the winter salt on cars. It was hubby's car which go washed today and we will have the van tomorrow. Hope there won't be any snow anymore. It is not officially spring until the 20th of March but to have plenty of sun and warmer days are already a treat for us.

Did I Do A Good Job?

I did it by myself last Friday after the big snow storm we had. Hubby was at work and I don't want the snow to freeze - the more it will be harder to dig out my car. It took me more than 2 hours with my daughter in tow (trying to help but had fun playing in the snow). I cannot open the van at first and with the salt combined it was hard to shovel. But through sweat and sweat I was able to do it.

After this, I was knocked out. Woke up 3 hours later.
