My husband is in the Philippines right now and he just sent me a message that he was able to talk to the realtor regarding the property we are interested in buying. We found this property online, then we started communicating with their U.S. based office who made arrangements with their local office in the Philippines for a tour of the location. This is a pre-construction sale so we deal more with paper works rather than the actual site. NMEDA (National Mobility Equipment Dealers Association) is a non profit trade association of mobility equipment dealers, driver rehabilitation specialists and other professionals who educate consumers on the broad opportunities for people with disabilities to drive or be transported in vehicles modified according to their specific lifestyle and needs. If you have a disability and  have plans of buying a vehicle or equipment, first thing you have to do is find a qualified NMEDA dealer. It is recommended that you consult with your local Mobility Equipment Dealer before you make a purchase. A qualified NMEDA dealer will conduct an on-site evaluation to be able to custom fit the vehicle according to your needs. If you need additional training on your new equipment or vehicle, the NMEDA dealer can still provide it for you.  Another thing to look when you deal with a NMEDA dealer is the QAP (Quality Assurance Program) symbol, an accreditation program for the Adaptive Mobility Equipment Industry. This program was developed to give the customers the highest quality service and performance in accordance with motor vehicle safety standards.

If you want more information on NMEDA, visit their website nmeda.org and learn how it can be helpful not only to people with disability but also to individuals who take care of persons with disability such as those in home health, caregivers or family members. To look for a qualified NMEDA dealer near you, go to the dealer locator on the website and just enter your zip code to get the list of qualified dealers in your area.

Solid Double Yellow Lines

Two solid yellow lines: No passing allowed. Stay in your lane.

How can i forget the two solid yellow lines. I remember it distinctly as one of the questions during my written exam at the motor vehicles. I studied it side by side with the solid white and broken lines. I was extra careful not to commit mistakes during the exam; scared that the computer will just stop. Oh, those were the days...it is just fun remembering it sometimes.

Field Trips For All From Lunchables

My daughter’s Kindergarten class went to the Children’s Museum as their class field trip. It was her first actually. She was very excited thinking about the fun with her classmates and the snack at friendly’s before they go back to the school but to me as a parent, I know that this is something that will widen my daughter’s learning experience beyond the four corners of a classroom. My daughter came home with a lot of stories about what she saw and learn at the Children’s museum. I wish there will be more opportunities like this for the students but I know that the school and parents spend money for this kind of activities. One way of getting a free field trip for our kids is through the contest called “Field Trips For All” from Lunchables Lunch Combinations under their program Project Potential. If you are 6 years old or older, you can nominate a deserving classroom by going to http://www.lunchables.com/potential/ to submit your nomination. Spread this contest to your family and friends so that all deserving kids will have the chance to go on an educational field trip. I would surely love to nominate not only my daughter’s class but others from different grades. I hope at least one of them will be one of the 50 classrooms selected as winners.
